Locally-owned merchants across America have faced increased competition in recent years from big box and online retailers. This especially rings true during the all important holiday shopping season between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Seeing a need to bring a focus back to locally-owned shopping, “Tinsel – A Chauffeured Shopping Experience” was born in 2015. Known as “Local’s Black Friday”, the event occurs each year, 7 days after Black Friday.
iShuttle, LLC returns as our Transportation Sponsor, providing patrons with private chauffeur service along the Line Avenue corridor.
This year’s event will follow have some Covid-19 guidelines and suggestions. We ask that you remain with your group and practice social distancing in all vehicles and stores. Masks will be required on all Tinsel vehicles. We encourage participants to feel free to check in and then use their personal vehicle to visit the Tinsel stops if desired.
We will announce this year’s participating retailers soon. Your $30 Tinsel ticket includes: private transportation, after-hours access to all participating retailers; food, beverage, and exclusive discounts provided by the retailers.
